If you're looking to save more money on your grocery bill, one app can help. Waterloo start-up, reebee, is a digital platform helping residents find a good deal for items on their shopping list in the midst of rising food prices. Tobiasz Dankiewicz and Michal Martyniak are the co-founders of reebee. Dankiewicz says by cross-referencing flyers from multiple grocery stores in the region, users can search through the app for specific products to find the best price. According to Martyniak, there's no purchase required to use the app. He says one thing he learned back then was that Canadians love flyers. Now, the app helps over 1. Both creators say their business's success was made possible by the support of start-up programs in Waterloo Region. Over the years, we've seen these programs grow and we're really excited to continue to be involved. If you do not have kids, you're not going to be engaging with those products.

This copy is for your personal non-commercial use only. Launched in by University of Waterloo grads Tobiasz Dankiewicz and Michal Martyniak, Kitchener-based Reebee allows consumers to easily peruse hundreds of retail flyers on their phones and computers to find and compare products and create shopping lists. The next evolution will be to further customize and personalize the information for individual consumers, said Dankiewicz. Financial terms weren't disclosed, but Reebee's founders said the move is more than monetary. RHI Group's expertise in the digital marketing and retail space will prove invaluable, they predicted. For consumers, the free Reebee app can save them time and money. For retailers, it connects them to a receptive audience, enhancing - and, in some cases, eliminating - their traditional printed flyers. Further customization will allow stores to derive greater value by tailoring their message to shoppers, as opposed to the "spray and pray" approach of a one-size-fits-all flyer.
