Ford Racing’s Brian Deegan built the Deegan 38 F-150 with the 3.5-liter, twin-turbo EcoBoost engine for the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Ford is attempting to stake its claim for the “Hottest Truck” award at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas next month with two entries. If Ford takes the honor, it’ll be the fifth year in a row.

Ford Racing’s Brian Deegan created the Deegan 30 F-150 that uses the 3.5-liter, twin-turbo EcoBoost engine. He partnered with several top-flight suppliers to produce what he believes to be the “world’s most capable truck,” according to the maker.

“This F-150 should inspire the vast off-road, extreme-lifestyle-loving fan base to push the possibilities of the kick-ass new 2015 F-150 and the awesome 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine,” said Deegan.

Addictive Desert Designs, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, FOX Racing Shox, KC Hilites, Mastercraft Safety, Rockford Fosgate, Full-Race Motorsports, Leading Edge Tuning, ProEFI and SCT Performance jumped in to help Deegan convert the all-new F-150 into a beast that Deegan, an off-road racer who captured the Lucas Oil Pro 2 Unlimited and Pro Lite Unlimited Championships, could brag about.

Boasting 12 inches of King shock-controlled travel via a Kibbetech custom suspension, this 2015 F-150 purpose-built by Formula DRIFT superstar Vaughn Gittin Jr. is going to SEMA.

Deegan is the most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in the competition’s history with 13 X-Games medals to his name, including X Games 17 Gold medal in Rally Cross. He also holds the elite distinction of being the only rider to compete in every X Games competition since the games’ inception.

Ford’s other entry is Formula DRIFT superstar Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s street truck. Boasting 12 inches of King shock-controlled travel via a Kibbetech custom suspension, this 2015 F-150 purpose-built to take full advantage of the weight savings and serious torque offered by the all-new F-150, according to the automaker.

With an aggressive look and Air Lift Performance air ride, the truck is supposed to turn heads and be big fun for the driver. In fact, the fun shouldn’t be limited to the driver: it has Recaro seats for five.

“I love trucks, and to build one that has daily on- and off-road capabilities, as well as drifting and jumping capabilities is something I have always wanted to do,” said Gittin. “I am really pumped to get crazy in this F-150 at SEMA this year.”

Gittin drives the Monster Energy Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR, one of the sport’s most identifiable cars, and he’s among the sport’s top drivers. He also has a special drift package for Mustang GTs, which was launched in 2010, and can be purchased at select Ford dealerships worldwide.
